The small print.

Short, because the product is simple: you give us a URL, we query AI engines and your public site, and show you the result.

01

The service

Citeshare runs the questions a buyer in your category would ask against the official web-search APIs of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity, records which sites each answer links to, and checks your public site for the things engines need. Engine APIs are a proxy for the consumer apps and answers vary between runs; every figure is a frequency over the runs we made and is not a guarantee of how any engine will answer anyone. The fixes pack is generated text derived from your public site — check it before publishing.

02

Payment

The snapshot is free, one per domain per 30 days. The full audit is a one-off payment — $19 excl. tax (USD 19 outside the EU and UK, tax added at checkout where applicable; EUR 19 incl. VAT in the EU; GBP 16 incl. VAT in the UK). Payment is taken by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record and calculates and remits any sales tax or VAT; your card statement shows Stripe. We never see your card details. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

The audit starts the moment payment is confirmed. By buying you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that, as digital content delivered at once, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ends when the audit starts.

03

Refunds

If a paid audit does not complete — the site could not be read, or more than half the engine queries failed — the payment is refunded in full, automatically, and you get an email saying so. Refunds reach your card in 5–10 business days depending on your bank. If the automatic refund fails we do it by hand and tell you.

A completed audit is not refunded on the grounds that you dislike the numbers: the engine queries cost real money to run and the report is the deliverable. If a completed audit is clearly wrong — the wrong site was read, questions are off-category, the fixes pack is missing — email hello@citeshare.ai within 14 days and we re-run it or refund it.

04

Privacy

What we storeThe URL and email you enter; a SHA-256 hash of your IP address (IPv6: of its /64), used only for the daily limit; the facts crawled from your public site; the generated questions; every engine answer and its links; for paid audits, the Stripe session and payment ids, amount and currency. Never card details.
How longUntil you ask us to delete it. Report links are unlisted and keep working; anyone with a link can view that report.
Who processes itCloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payment), Resend (email). The engine providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Perplexity via OpenRouter — receive the buyer questions and nothing about you. OpenAI also receives the crawled facts to write the questions and the fixes pack.
What we don't doNo analytics scripts, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing of your email. Two emails per audit at most: "ready" and, if it applies, "failed and refunded".
Your rightsEmail hello@citeshare.ai from the address on the audit to get a copy of what we hold or to have the audit and its data deleted. Deletion requests that reach us through Stripe are honoured the same way.
